In just over 2 years dedicated to creating, Charlotte Hawley (Lotte) is now making marks on street walls, interior walls, and the traditional pencil to paper. Born and bred in Wellington NZ, a Massey Design student, Charlotte is currently based in Auckland, and is simply enjoying the process of developing her skill as an artist as much as the final works itself.
Two distinctive styles personify her work; one a detailed, pencil rendered illustrative style, and the other, a contemporary pop art line work style.
Since launching her own creative brand in Oct 2015, Lotte has presented as a guest judge to several DIY design reality TV programs and has had her work featured in the international Air NZ Magazine, Kia Ora. This year she has launched her online shop, and also sells her work through Endemic World on Ponsonby Road, Auckland.
This year Lotte has launched a new platform that combines her passion for Art and Animals to raise money for SPCA NZ. Commission your very own art work of your pet through the The ‘Love Ya K9’ Project’ and 10% of the profit will go to SPCA NZ. She hopes to take this project overseas later in 2018 and continue to raise money for dog and animal welfare organisations world wide.
Lotte signs all her original works, murals, and limited edition prints with a beautifully designed signature seal logo of her preferred nickname – ’Lots.’
At present, she is working away on various projects, and commissions, and is prepping to exhibit in AKL towards the end of 2018.
